Comedian Tim Allen cracked an innocent joke at the expense of President Joe Biden, after he appeared on “60 Minutes” in a recent interview. Liberal Twitter erupted in rage.
The 69-year-old “Last Man Standing” star, who has been unwilling to throw his weight directly behind the left, like most Hollywood stars, took a crack at Biden’s mental state in a tweet shared Monday afternoon.
“Biden was on 60 Minutes. I heard he asked how long the show was,” Allen tweeted.
The 14 word tweet prompted critics to near-instantly swarm Allen, attacking him for both his politics, and his previous drug-related conviction and jail time.
“Before his middle-aged rebrand as a fun guy, Tim Allen was a drug dealer arrested with over a pound of cocaine. He avoided prison by snitching on everyone around him. Others did Tim’s prison time,” one user claimed.
“Friendly reminder this guy trafficked cocaine for Pablo Escobar’s cartel. If a black man did what he did, that brother would still be in prison to this very day. F*** outta here old man,” another user tweeted.
Actor Saverio Guerra added, “I heard Tim Allen got arrested for selling 2 lbs of cocaine, and he asked how much it weighed!”
“That was 59 more minutes more than it took you to narc on your drug buddies back in the day. F***’n snitch,” came from another user.
A number referenced Allen’s time on the hit 90’s sitcom “Home Improvement,” particularly the repeated grunt that became something of a hallmark for the show.
“You’ve really fallen off, bro. Go back to monkey noises. You nailed that,” actor Christopher Titus commented.
Still others attacked him for his politics, as he had previously stated that he “liked” that former President Donald Trump “pissed people off,”
“Tim Allen is a Trumper seditious criminal domestic terrorist! Good to know!” added another user.
“What a shame. I loved THE SANTA CLAUSE,” tweeted yet another user. “Now, I choose not to support this man or any of his projects including THE SANTA CLAUSES on @DisneyPlus. He’s showing us who he is, who he supports & what he believes. My money will not support treasonous grifters. @Disney @santaclauses.”
“Behold, the last grasp at relevancy from a washed-up hack. Poor fella is resorting to ‘conservative comedy’ now, which, lets be honest, is exactly as compelling as his cocaine fueled, 90s-esque man-grunting. Well done, Tim Allen, you’ve become even more of a dated cliche,” came from a third user.
Conservatives responded as well, pointing out that the reaction to Allen’s 14 word tweet was massively overblown by the Left. “Tim Allen makes a dad joke at Biden’s expense and the left is losing their s*** like he just committed treason,” read one tweet.
