A heartwarming reunion recently took place as a 94-year-old woman from New Hampshire made her way to Nevada to meet her 90-year-old sister. This emotional encounter might be their last, given their advanced ages.

Barbara Carolan had not laid eyes on her younger sibling, Shirley, since 2020, according to a report from Breitbart.

Assisted by her granddaughter, Stephanie Shively, the older sister undertook the journey to reconnect with her sister, as reported by WMUR.

“She said, ‘I really think this will be the last time I see my sister’,” Ms. Shively said in an interview with WMUR.

The depth of their bond was evident on the final night of the visit. Shively captured a poignant moment between the two sisters as they prepared for bed.

“If we don’t see each other on this earth, we’ll see you in heaven,” the younger nonagenarian said.

Her older sister responded with a heartfelt, “You betcha, you betcha.”

The touching video of their conversation was shared by Shively on TikTok, quickly capturing the hearts of viewers and amassing nearly 13 million views. Shively commented on the profound impact of witnessing such a reunion.

“They waited so long to see each other and if you don’t know if you’re going to see someone again you know, especially siblings, it must be really hard,” stated Shively.

The experience served as a poignant reminder for Shively about the fleeting nature of life. She reflected on the importance of cherishing every moment with loved ones, posing a thought-provoking question.

“What if this was your last time to see your loved one?” she mused. “Are you telling them the things that you want to tell them or you’re saying the things that you want to say? Because if you’re not, you may not get a chance again.”
