During his first press conference on Thursday, President Joe Biden chuckled at a question by a reporter regarding the abuse that migrant children are going through at the U.S. border under his policies. At one point, he even started randomly shouted when answering reporter’s questions.
At certain points, Biden seemed to have issues getting his point out without bumbling. Biden has gone for more than two months without holding a press conference, the longest that any president has ever gone without facing the press.
A reporter asked Biden about hundreds of children that were being held at a U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility who are “sleeping on floors” that are packed into these pods and have “not seen the sun in days.”
“What’s your reaction to these images that have come out from that particular facility?” the reporter asked. “Is what’s happening inside acceptable to you? And when is this going to be fixed?”
“Is that serious a question, right?” Biden asked as he laughed. “Is it acceptable to me? C’mon.”
At other points during the press conference Biden would be answering a question and then randomly start yelling.
Biden appeared to struggle at other points during the press conference.
