President Joe Biden became a subject of ridicule and concern after a video of him appearing confused at a Veteran’s Day ceremony circulated on social media.
A video of the ceremony showed President Biden placing the wreath in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Vice President Kamala Harris, representatives of the U.S. Armed Forces and a large crowd of civilian guests were present.
After receiving the wreath from a U.S. Army service member, President Biden positioned it on the stand in front of the tomb. However, upon turning away from the wreath, he appeared hesitant and uncertain about where to go next. He turned to face the service member, who then had to signal and direct him to rejoin the line next to the vice president for the remainder of the ceremony.

This moment of apparent confusion was widely shared and commented on on social media. Users expressed shock and ridicule, with one describing it as “so embarrassing.” The clip of this incident was circulated by the RNC Research account, which added the caption, “Biden gets confused (again).”
Several commentators and public figures joined in the criticism. Podcast host and YouTuber Tyler Zed remarked, “Our enemies must be shaking in their boots.”
Talk radio host Michael Brown criticized the president’s handlers for allowing him to appear confused at such a significant event.
“Time to go home. Pathetic at such a solemn ceremony. We shouldn’t laugh at this. Instead, we should recognize the Commander-in-Chief is incapable of being the CnC. Someone stop this madness. Looking to you @FLOTUS. Do you love him? Take him home,” Brown said on X.
Jake Schneider, Rapid Response director for the Republican Party, also commented on the incident, calling it “just so embarrassing.” In a subsequent post, Schneider referred to a joke by comedian Shane Gillis, comparing Biden’s movements to those of a Roomba, a self-guided robot vacuum. Schneider’s post read, “Joe Roomba back at it again.”
