Firebrand Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado gave political enemies fuel for the fire when unbecoming behavior was caught on video.
Security footage at a theater production of the musical “Beetlejuice” in Denver, Colorado, shows Boebert on a date with Quinn Gallagher.
During the production, Boebert and Gallagher were reportedly vaping and singing loudly to the songs, disturbing other patrons.
Video also shows Gallagher groping Boebert’s breasts while the representative responds by grabbing Gallagher’s crotch.
Complaints prompted security to escort Gallagher and Boebert from the venue. While being unceremoniously led out of the theater, Boebert reportedly gives theater staff a middle finger while stating, “Do you know who I am?”
Boebert has since apologized for the incident and stated that she would not be going out on a date with Gallagher again — citing his political affiliation, Democrat, as the reason why.
In response to significant backlash from concerned constituents, Boebert wrote:
“It’s always hard whenever there’s gravity put on the voters. I’m here to provide levity and lift burdens off of people, so anytime they’re carrying mine, it’s something that I kind of feel deep inside.
But, ultimately, all future date nights have been canceled, and I learned to check party affiliations before you go on a date.”
“But, all in all, it was mostly a lovely time and, you know, I’ve taken responsibility for my actions. I would love to know how the musical ended, and I encourage people to go and see it.”

The Daily Caller reported that Gallagher owns a gay-friendly bar called Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar, which has hosted drag shows.
Boebert, who in May filed for divorce after 18 years of marriage, offered a follow-up apology:
“The past few days have been difficult and humbling, and I’m truly sorry for the unwanted attention my Sunday evening in Denver has brought to the community.
“While none of my actions or words as a private citizen that night were intended to be malicious or meant to cause harm, the reality is they did and I regret that.
“Whether it was the excitement of seeing a much-anticipated production or the natural anxiety of being in a new environment, I genuinely did not recall vaping that evening when I discussed the night’s events with my campaign team while confirming my enthusiasm for the musical.”
