A CBS News meteorologist in Los Angeles lost consciousness and fell to the floor during a live broadcast Saturday morning.
Alissa Carlson Schwartz was set to report for KCAL’s 7:00 a.m. broadcast, but when morning news hosts Nichelle Medina and Rachel Kim kicked it over to her, she fainted, causing KCAL to abruptly cut to commercial.
Video shows Medina and Kim laughing as they direct the viewers to Carlson Schwartz, who appears on a split screen. Carlson Schwartz is seen standing behind a desk before she begins to slump and her eyes roll into the back of her head before she falls to the floor.
The hosts apparently were not in the same room as the meteorologist since they did not notice anything was wrong until they heard the sound of Carlson Schwartz hitting the floor after she passed out.
“Oh!” Kim says, looking confused after hearing Carlson Schwartz fall.
Schwartz posted an update on her Facebook page.
