Watch: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Confronted by Protesters at NYC Migrant Crisis Conference

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, along with fellow Democrats, faced significant vocal opposition during a press conference in New York City concerning the migrant crisis.

The event, situated outside a Manhattan hotel that has transformed into a relief center for asylum seekers, was disrupted by vociferous protesters. Their chants, dominated by calls to “send them back!” and demands to “close the border!” overshadowed the Democrats’ addresses.

“My name is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I’m here alongside Rep.
