A new campaign advertisement from Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign seemingly implies that the vice president would crack down on illegal immigration at the southern border if elected president.
Interestingly, the ad comes after the vice president presided over the largest number of illegal immigrants ever recorded in history, which many attribute to the Biden administration’s policies.
Harris was given the role of “border czar” in the Biden administration but did little to mitigate the issue and never visited the border.
As the vice president attempts to win the presidency, she is trying to persuade voters that she will combat illegal immigration.
The new ad from Harris was met with fierce criticism, with one person asking, “How dumb do they think we are?”
The commercial was posted on YouTube earlier this week and is 30 seconds long.
“Kamala Harris has spent decades fighting violent crime,” the narrator states in the ad.
“As a border state prosecutor, she took on drug cartels and jailed gang members for smuggling weapons and drugs across the border,” the narrator adds.
“As vice president, she backed the toughest border control bill in decades, and as president, she will hire thousands more border agents and crack down on fentanyl and human trafficking,” the ad continued. “Fixing the border is tough. So is Kamala Harris.”
Despite the promises made in the ad, many don’t believe Harris will do anything to stem illegal immigration.
Former White House spokesman Sean Spicer criticized the vice president on X.
“This is the new Harris ad — you have to wonder how stupid they think voters are to believe she was ‘tough on the border,’” Spicer wrote.
A user responded to Spicer’s post, calling Harris’ voters “stupid” for believing in “transgender” ideology and the falsehoods of the mainstream media.
“How stupid her voters are?” the user asked. “They don’t know what bathroom to use, they think men can get pregnant and they think women have p****es. They will believe mainstream media over what they’ve seen with their own eyes time and time again. They feel the government knows best, and they want restrictions on free speech,” the user added.
“They also are willing to be disarmed for ‘the greater good,’” the user continued. “Democrat politicians know this and they will continue to play on it because it works.”
Like Spicer, GOP political consultant Ryan Girdusky also unloaded on Harris, pointing out that the Biden administration has released hundreds of illegal immigrants who were on the terror watch list.
“How dumb do they think we are. If Harris wanted to do this should have done it three and a half years ago. She could do it right now actually because she is still the border czar I don’t believe she was ever removed from that post,” Gurdusky said.
During a rally in Arizona on Saturday, Harris falsely claimed that Trump opposed the “toughest” border security bill.
The legislation that Harris is referring to mostly dealt with funding Ukraine amid the country’s war with Russia, according to Liberacrat Media.
