Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), currently the subject of a congressional ethics investigation, was served another ethics complaint by the Heritage Foundation and Chaya Raichik, the creator of the popular Libs of TikTok Twitter account.
The new complaint stems from Raichik charging that Ocasio-Cortez knowingly lied about her during a recent congressional committee hearing.
When Raichik attempted to discuss the matter with Ocasio-Cortez, the congresswoman refused to discuss the matter, which prompted Raichik to take legal action. According to the code, it is illegal for a member of Congress to lie about an American citizen during a committee hearing.
Raichik recorded her intent to serve Ocasio-Cortez. With an ethics complaint in hand and an attorney from the Heritage Foundation at her side, Raichik went to AOC’s office and, as the congresswoman was not in, gave the complaint and instructions to a staffer.
“So, basically, a few weeks ago, AOC lied about me in a committee hearing,” Raichik said to Ocasio-Cortez’s staff member who met her at the door. “So, I tried to come last week and talk to her, but she kind of cowered away, wasn’t willing to talk to me.”
The courteous staffer took the documents, and Raichik and the Heritage Foundation representative left after posting a sticky note outside her office door, which read: “Dear AOC, please don’t lie about American citizens. Love Chaya.”
The video then includes a surprise encounter — Raichik ran into AOC while exiting the building and told Ocasio-Cortez she had just delivered an ethics complaint to her office “because you lied about me during a committee hearing.”
A smiling but angry Ocasio-Cortez said to Raichik: “You are actually super transphobic, and I never want to share a space with you. Thank you.” She then quickly walked away from the cameras.
The complaint against AOC alleges the congresswoman knowingly lied about Raichik when she told committee members the Libs of TikTok creator falsely claimed Boston Children’s Hospital is “now offering ‘gender-affirming hysterectomies’ for young girls.”
The charge against Boston Hospital was first made by Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh, who disclosed video showing hospital executives discussing the practice and lauding the lucrative aspect of coordinating the multiple procedures most minors pursuing gender reassignment require.
Boston Children’s Hospital administrators initially denied it performs gender reassignment surgeries on youth but has since acknowledged it “performed at least 65 transgender chest surgeries on minors,” according to the Daily Caller.
