Former Vice President Mike Pence displayed a rare spark of fire and wit when heckled by an angry man in Iowa.
Without warning or provocation, the angry man shouted, “Leave and get the f*** out of our country and get the f*** out of Iowa!”
As security quickly escorted the man out of the room, Pence said, “Thank you,” Pence said. “I’m going to put him down as a maybe.”

The former vice president is a current GOP candidate for president. He is reportedly running in a virtual tie for the No. 4 position, behind frontrunner former President Donald Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy.
With the all-important Iowa caucuses just three months away, the state has hosted events for all major candidates in recent days.
Pence distinguished himself from the large group of GOP competitors by landing an exclusive interview with Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds. He was profiled in her “Fair-Side Chats” program.
The former vice president is not fairing well in Iowa, however. Iowa polls show Pence consistently placing between the sixth and eighth position in the GOP race, according to data from FiveThirtyEight.
The Washington Examiner reported that nationally, Pence claims just 5% of the projected vote — Trump garners more than 50%.
Trump has criticized Pence for his decision to certify the 2020 election. In a recent post, Trump wrote that his former VP has gone to the “Dark Side.”
