Nevada’s governor and his wife were accosted during the weekend by two men who chased them out of a Las Vegas restaurant shouting profanities and threats at them.

Police are investigating after a man filmed himself confronting Governor Steve Sisolak, who was with his wife and daughter, at Lindo Michoacan restaurant in Summerlin, Las Vegas.

The man, identified by the Las Vegas Review Journal as Justin Andersch, filmed himself putting his arm around Sisolak as he pretends he wants a selfie before turning on the Democratic governor and making threats against him.

‘Where’s your security at, punk, huh?’ Andersch asks, pointing his cellphone toward Sisolak’s face, before being joined by another aggressor.

‘We should string you up by a lamp post right now,’ he shouted, while following Sisolak and his wife as they exit the restaurant.

‘You working-for-China son of a b***h’. The last comment appears to have been targeted at his wife, Kathy Sisolak, a former municipal finance specialist of Chinese heritage, who has been accused of benefiting from the state’s mask mandate.

An elected official in rural Nye County, Donna Cox, claimed last August that Kathy Sisolak had family members in China profiting from selling Covid-19 PPE and so she had persuaded her husband to reinstate the mask mandate.

The governor has since denounced the ‘racist threat’ against his wife after the restaurant confrontation.

‘We can disagree about the issues, but the personal attacks and threats are unwarranted, unwelcome and unbecoming behavior for Nevadans.’

The video ends in the parking lot. Sisolak’s daughter, Ashley Sisolak, a lawyer and public defender, rushes to the governor and his wife near their vehicle and the man turns away.

‘Because your daughter’s with you, I’m going to leave you alone now,’ he said.

Nevada State Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Kim Yoko Smith confirmed that state police are investigating.

The Sisolaks, who were not accompanied at the restaurant by a state security officer, were going to meet his daughter. The incident now is being investigated by state police.
