A woman who called police about a man shooting at her family yelled at people protesting after police killed the black gunman.
Arabella Foss-Yarbrough, a Minneapolis mother of two, can be seen laying into the protesters gathered outside her apartment building Saturday. They were protesting Thursday’s fatal police shooting of Andrew “Tekle” Sundberg after a six-hour standoff.
“This is not a George Floyd situation. George Floyd was unarmed,” the mother can be seen on video yelling at protesters. “This is not okay.”

Officers were dispatched to the apartment building around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday after Foss-Yarbrough called 911 and told dispatchers someone was firing shots through the apartment where she and her two children lived.
Officers who were trying to evacuate the apartment building Thursday morning were fired upon, according to a court document. They left the building and called in the Minneapolis SWAT team, according to an unsealed search warrant.
Two SWAT team snipers set up on a nearby apartment building’s roof, according to court documents. “At some point during the standoff, the two snipers shot the male subject,” the search warrant reads, referring to Sundberg. The wounded man was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died, according to a report from NBC affiliate KARE 11.
Minneapolis police spokesman officer Garrett Parten said the snipers fired their weapons around 4:30 a.m. after six hours of police negotiations with Sundberg, who was barricaded inside an apartment on the 900 block of 21st and East Franklin Avenues.
The report noted Minneapolis city officials identified the two snipers as Aaron Pearson and Zachary Seraphine.
Protesters and activists gathered Saturday afternoon outside the apartment building, demanding justice for Sundberg. Foss-Yarbrough returned home and confronted the protesters after she got out of her car. She yelled at them, saying she and her children were traumatized by the 20-year-old man before he was shot and killed by police.
Sundberg was having a “mental health crisis” at the time of his death, his family reportedly said.
“My kids have to deal with this and probably have a mental illness now because they almost lost their lives,” the angry mother of two declared. “There’s bullet holes in my kitchen because he sat in the f–ing hallway watching me move.”
“He tried to kill me in front of my kids.”
