Juan Mendoza, a former reporter with The Daily Caller and now with Juan More News, was able to ask former President Bill Clinton a direct personal question — for which he received a smirk and an indirect reply.
On Monday, Mendoza asked the former president about his reported ties to the notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The reporter caught up with Clinton at a rally in Laredo, Texas, where the former president was lending support to Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar.
Mendoza boldly asked: “Any comments on the allegations of your connection with Jeffrey Epstein?”
Clinton grinned and said, “I think the evidence is clear,” as he turned and walked away.
As some who have crossed the Clinton family have unexpectedly committed suicide over the years, Mendoza jokingly added in a follow-up post that he was “not suicidal … just in case.”
Mendoza’s question follows the testimony of Lawrence Paul Visoski Jr. who served as Epstein’s longtime pilot. During a hearing in 2021, Visoski Jr. claimed “that he flew former Presidents Donald Trump and Clinton on Epstein’s plane,” according to the Daily Caller.
“Former President Bill Clinton flew on some of the flights?” attorney Christian Oversell asked during the trial against Maxwell.
“Yes,” Visoski replied.
Maxwell would later provide questionable but nonincriminating information about Clinton’s interactions with Epstein in an interview with The Sun.
“It was a special friendship, which continued over the years,” Maxwell reportedly said. “We had lots in common. I feel bad that he is another victim only because of his association with Jeffrey. I understand he, like others, can no longer consider me as a friend.”
Epstein was arrested for numerous sex crimes against women and minors.
While in jail awaiting trial, Epstein reportedly committed suicide.
The death was suspicious, leading Attorney General Bill Barr to note that the circumstance surrounding Epstein’s death raised “serious questions.”
