Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) appeared on “Face The Nation” Sunday with host Margaret Brennan where he discussed the infamous FBI raid into Former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.
Brennan pressed Schiff why the Department of Justice waited so long before retrieving potentially classified documents from the 45th president. Schiff however, had no answer.
“If there was that sensitive level of information being held, why did justice department officials wait 18 months after the end of the Trump presidency? What changed that made this immediate?” the host asked.
“I don’t know. But if the Trump people represented that they provided all the classified or national security information and didn’t, that’s a serious problem,” Schiff replied, “I can tell you, anyone in the intelligence community that had documents like that, marked ‘Top Secret,’ ‘SCI,’ in their residences after authorities went to them, they would be under serious investigation.”

FACETH-1
According to The Daily Caller, Trump has called for the “immediate release” of the documents related to the raid.
“Not only will I not oppose the release of documents related to the unAmerican, unwarranted, and unnecessary raid and break-in of my home in Palm Beach, Florida, Mar-a-Lago, I am going a step further by ENCOURAGING the immediate release of those documents, even though they have been drawn up by radical left Democrats and possible future political opponents, who have a strong and powerful vested interest in attacking me, much as they have done for the last 6 years,” the former president said.
