As expected, the women of “The View” were far from happy about President-elect Donald Trump performing a massive upset against Vice President Kamala Harris Tuesday night.
In a rant on the show Wednesday, “The View” co-host Sunny Hostin took her frustrations out on “uneducated white women,” alleging that they were responsible for Trump’s return to the White House.
“I’m profoundly disturbed … we know now that he will have unfettered power,” said Hostin, per the New York Post.
As a result, she claimed that her daughter will have “less civil rights” than she currently has due to the color of her skin.
“I remember my father telling me many, many years ago that I was the first person in his family to enjoy full civil rights and now I have less civil rights than when he told me that,” she said.
Wearing all black like her co-hosts, suggesting that they are mourning Trump’s victory, Hostin warned that the country’s healthcare system was in jeopardy. She also expressed fear of “mass deportation and internment camps.”
“I was so hopeful that a mixed race woman married to a Jewish guy could be elected president of this country, and I think that it had nothing to do with policy,” she said. “I think this was a referendum of cultural resentment in this country.”
Women of “The View” have claimed that Trump would break up interracial marriages if elected, citing his alleged desire to become a dictator.
Alleging that Harris ran a “flawless campaign,” the former prosecutor played the race and blame game, lashing out at white women and Latino men for not helping black women ensure that Harris won the election.
“Black women tried to save this country again, last night … what we do not have is white women, who voted about 52 percent for Donald Trump — uneducated white women is my understanding,” she claimed. “You have Latino men actually, voting more for him.”
Trump’s performance among Latino men was one of the highlights during the election, a significant improvement from 2020.
Hostin joined MSNBC’s Joy Reid in criticizing white women. The liberal anchor shared her frustrations Tuesday night with white women, whom she claimed were responsible for Harris’ loss.
Hostin was just one of many who had meltdowns over Trump’s historic win. Rapper Cardi B went off on Trump supporters as Election Night results poured in. She went as far as going off on MAGA supporters who commented on her feed, as Resist the Mainstream reported.
