Former President Donald Trump adamantly reiterated claims of a “rigged” 2020 election after his booking in the Fulton County jail due to a comprehensive racketeering indictment.
“I did nothing wrong and everybody knows it,” Trump said.
Following this, he addressed a cluster of reporters, stating, “What has taken place here is a travesty of justice. We did nothing wrong. I did nothing wrong, and everybody knows it.” This statement was made during a brief media conference held in front of his private jet “Trump Force One” at the Atlanta airport.
Trump lamented the injustice of the proceedings, labeling the day as a “really sad day for America.” He emphasized that his arrest and the preceding three indictments “should never happen.” Trump’s conviction regarding the 2020 election remained unshaken. He asserted that he should “have the right” to challenge the election outcome without facing punitive measures. “There’s never been anything like it in our country before. This is their way of campaigning. This is their one instance and you have three other instances,” he further elaborated.

Details surrounding Trump’s legal situation reveal that the former president faces a total of 13 charges. He paid a bond amounting to $200,000 to secure his release. Following his surrender on Thursday, authorities released him after approximately 20 minutes.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the capture of his mugshot inside the jail premises, which has already made a splash on social media as users behold the president’s glowering, righteous orange visage.
As long as Trump adheres to the stipulated bond conditions, which encompass refraining from using social media to issue threats to individuals associated with the case, including prosecutors, he will remain on bail.
The charges against Trump are extensive. They comprise one count of violating Georgia’s racketeering act, three counts of solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer, one count of conspiracy to commit impersonating a public officer, two counts each of conspiracy to commit forgery in the first degree, false statements and writings, and conspiracy to commit false statements and writings. Additionally, he faces one count each of filing false documents and conspiracy to commit filing false documents.
The legal proceedings are still unfolding, with eight co-defendants mandated to present themselves before a noon deadline on the upcoming Friday.
