Many are trying to understand the mind of the accused killer, Bryan Kohberger, charged with the quadruple murder of four young college students at the University of Idaho.
Interest in his psych profile spiked when traditional methods to solve the crime proved unsuccessful. Ultimately, an analysis of Kohberger’s patterns and the patterns associated with pathological killers led to his arrest.
Adding to the panoply of clues, habits and behavioral patterns in this case is a post by a young woman who reportedly had a date with Kohberger seven years ago.
The woman describes her date as “weird,” had to be “cut short,” and notes that Kohberger “kept trying to touch” her.
Hayley, the woman in the TikTok video, was reportedly “matched” with Kohberger on Tinder. According to the New York Post, Hayley was a psychology student at Penn State Hazelton at the time.
Kohberger was studying psychology at a nearby university. Their shared major was a “bonding point” for the two, according to Hayley.
In her video, Hayley noted: “My interactions with Bryan were very brief. I don’t know much about him.”
Hayley added: “We matched on Tinder, we talked for a couple of hours, and then he was like, ‘Hey, you want to go to the movies with me tonight?’ I was like, sure. So we went to the movies.”
Hayley elaborated to the Post: “He like, completely changed once we were in my dorm so I’m glad I was able to get away,” adding, “I thought he was just going to drop me off, but that was not the case. He kind of invited himself inside.”
Hayley recounted that once in the dorm, Kohberger wanted to watch another movie on Netflix. The Post noted, “That’s when things took a creepy turn.”
Hayley told the Post: “He was very pushy when it came to coming back in my dorm with me. But I didn’t get like scary vibes or anything from that. I just thought he was a stage five clinger because he said he wanted to spend more time with me.”
Hayley stated in her video: “He kept trying to touch me. Not, like, inappropriately, just trying to tickle me, and like rub my shoulders and stuff, and I was like, ‘why are you touching me?'”

When accused of making Hayley uncomfortable, Kohberger became “super serious” and denied touching her.
Recounting what happened, Hayley said: “He’s like, ‘I’m not,’ and I’m like, ‘you are, though,’ and he’s like, ‘I’m not touching you.’ Kind of trying to gaslight me into thinking that he didn’t touch me, which was weird,” she claimed.
Hayley then excused herself to use the shared dorm bathroom — Kohberger allegedly followed her there.
“He didn’t go in with me, but like he stood outside the door … I just thought that was weird,” Hayley said.
Looking for an out to the date, Hayley pretended to throw up. She recalled: “It wasn’t because I was scared of him or thought he would hurt me if I asked him to leave. It was just mostly because I’m socially awkward. I didn’t know how to ask him to leave.”
Kohberger left, then texted Hayley about an hour later and said she had “good birthing hips,” Hayley claimed.
“So I never talked to him [again],” Hayley said, concluding her post.
When speaking with the Post, Hayley shared she thought it important to share her story since it “could have been so much different.”
