A Hollywood writer and producer known for classics like Space Jam and Kindergarten Cop was exposed by a group of YouTubers for meeting up with a 15-year-old girl.
Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, DJ Deorro and Bradley Martyn captured the 76-year-old Herschel Weingrod on video as he was sitting alongside the minor, sparking a frenzy online from social media users.
“He thinks it’s not [a] big deal,” posted one user. “Hollywood is a sick Satanic Place.”
The Western Journal reported that Tuesday’s episode of the “Catching Predators” series showed Martyn confronting the prominent Hollywood screenwriter on the outdoor patio of a restaurant in Los Angeles.
“What’s your name?” Martyn demanded, to which Weingrod responded, “Boris. My name is Boris. What’s the problem?”
Martyn then asked the man if he was aware of the age of the girl he was with. “She was 23 on a dating site,” he said.
Martyn swiftly asked the girl what her age was. “Fifteen,” she replied.
“I’m sorry, she was 23 on a dating site. All we’ve done is talk,” Weingrod responded immediately.
The young girl abruptly leaves the scene after the YouTubers walk up to Weingrod. The Hollywood elitist then tries to play off the whole encounter by saying he believed the girl was older and of legal age.
“We’ve been talking and flirting it’s not a big deal,” Weingrod says in the footage, trying to justify the whole situation.
Weingrod then tries to flee the scene also, however, the Youtubers pursue him.
The YouTubers used gunpowder cannons to make the whole encounter more eventful, plus draw even more attention to Weingrod as he tried to ditch the scene.
The Western Journal highlighted that Zdorovetskiy fired a blue then pink gunpowder cannon at Weingrod to make the encounter mockingly feel like a gender reveal.
“So you’re a pedophile trying to meet a 15-year-old — oh s***, I’m sorry it’s not a boy. It’s a girl,” Zdorovetskiy joked, to which Weingrod responded, “I’m not a pedophile.”
Weingrod eventually sought refuge in a building in which a security guard prevented the YouTubers from entering.
The video circulated social media, with many users ripping Hollywood as a whole for its history of inappropriate behavior.
“At first, he claimed he had no idea what her age was, then he claimed she was 23, but text messages showed otherwise,” an account by the name of Shadow of Ezra posted.
“ … Herschel Weingrod is 76 years old and his parents are of Jewish descent. And of course pizza was the choice of food,” it added.
