Ambassador Monica Crowley said Wednesday that evidence related to alleged irregularities in the 2020 presidential election would be released “soon,” while again asserting President Donald Trump won the election.
Crowley made the remarks during an event hosted by Breitbart News, according to reports published Thursday discussing renewed claims involving the 2020 election outcome.
“He did win in a landslide, and we will soon be able to give evidence about that,” Crowley said during the event, though she did not provide additional details regarding the evidence.
The comments echoed previous statements from Kash Patel and other Trump administration officials discussing alleged efforts to undermine the 2020 election.
President Donald Trump and several allies have repeatedly argued there were widespread irregularities in states won by former President Joe Biden during the election.
Courts across multiple states rejected legal challenges filed after the 2020 election, while Congress certified Biden’s Electoral College victory following the Jan. 6, 2021 proceedings in Washington.
According to reports, a federal grand jury in Florida is now examining matters related to the 2020 election as part of an ongoing Justice Department investigation.
The Department of Justice has reportedly brought in attorney Joe diGenova to assist prosecutors in the Southern District of Florida connected to the inquiry.
Trump previously suggested during a February appearance on “The Dan Bongino Show” that new information involving the 2020 election could soon become public following FBI actions in Georgia.
Federal agents executed a search warrant Jan. 28 at the Fulton County Election Hub and Operations Center in Union City, Georgia, according to reports discussing the investigation.
Authorities reportedly seized ballots, voter rolls and voting machine tapes from the 2020 general election as part of the federal investigation involving election records and administration procedures.
Trump referenced the search during the interview and claimed evidence obtained from Fulton County would reveal “interesting things” involving the election and vote counting process, per the Conservative Brief.
“We have states that I won that show I didn’t win,” Trump said while discussing allegations involving voting irregularities and election administration in several states.
Federal officials said the Georgia search warrant was part of routine investigative procedures connected to an ongoing criminal investigation and have not publicly announced findings or possible charges.
Fulton County officials later filed a lawsuit against the federal government alleging the warrant execution was flawed and arguing FBI agents improperly seized election-related materials and voting data.
Supporters of Trump have described the investigation as overdue scrutiny of election administration practices, while Democratic officials and previous court rulings have rejected broader claims of widespread fraud affecting the outcome.
