Former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo is set to enter a partnership with Valuetainment, a company largely known for its founder Patrick Bet-David, who hosts the well-known PBD Podcast.
The former host of CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time” will become a regularly appearing guest for the show on a rotational basis as a talent partner, according to a Valuetainment press release.
Cuomo reportedly plans to continue hosting his show on NewsNation, which began in July 2022, as well as his personal podcast, “The Chris Cuomo Project.”
Valuetainment said that the decision to recruit Cuomo was made in part because it strives for a mission of healthy debate.
“If every Home Team episode only featured people who think the same, our listeners lose, even if they agree with the points made,” the release explained. “Debate forces our gears to turn in new ways and allows us to learn more about our own beliefs, just as much as it allows us to learn about the beliefs of others. It can even persuade us to evolve.”
“Cuomo’s personality compliments our Home Team nicely, just as his difference of opinion on big issues brings us a welcome challenge,” reads another part of release. “His addition will help in creating a media space where multiple perspectives are respected and navigated—an increasingly important skill in today’s polarized environment.”
Cuomo has appeared on the PBD Podcast numerous times, joining in July 2023 and November 2023.
Valuetainment added that “Cuomo’s personality compliments our Home Team nicely, just as his difference of opinion on big issues brings us a welcome challenge.” The network said that Cuomo’s “journalistic depth will synthesize with Patrick’s entrepreneurial spirit” and that the “partnership sets a new benchmark for how journalism and entrepreneurship will coexist and thrive together.”
