In a whirlwind of controversy, right-wing provocateur Laura Loomer has found herself at the center of a political firestorm.
The 31-year-old conservative journalist has vehemently denied rumors of an affair with former President Donald Trump, while simultaneously launching a scathing attack on Vice President Kamala Harris.
Loomer defends herself amidst a feud with HBO’s Bill Maher, who recently questioned the journalist and Trump’s relationship.
“She’s 31, looks like his type,” Maher said of Loomer recently. “Who’s Trump f******? Because I said, it’s not nobody. He’s been a dog for too long. And it’s not Melania.”
Daily Mail reported that Loomer used her podcast platform to address the swirling rumors head-on.
She characterized the allegations of a romantic relationship with the 78-year-old former president as “malicious” and “disrespectful” to both Donald and Melania Trump.
The firebrand commentator went on to claim that these rumors were part of a larger media conspiracy against her.
“If I was a leftist journalist, if I was a Democrat, oh my God, the media would be up in arms if the Republican media was doing this to a left-wing journalist,” Loomer asserted.
She suggested that if the roles were reversed, the media would cry foul, accusing Republicans of misogyny and attempting to discredit her as a working woman.
In a surprising turn, Loomer shifted her focus to Harris, insinuating that the Democratic presidential hopeful had engaged in inappropriate relationships to advance her career.
Loomer claimed that Harris had slept with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown to secure positions as deputy district attorney and District Attorney for Alameda County, ultimately paving her way to the vice presidency.
“Some of us women actually work hard, and some of us women have no desire to have s*xual affairs with politicians or men with elite political status to climb the ladder,” Loomer stated, drawing a stark contrast between herself and the VP.
Harris has consistently refuted such claims, as previously reported by Resist the Mainstream, maintaining that her qualifications earned her the positions she has held throughout her career.
The controversy surrounding Loomer intensified following her recent appearances alongside Trump.
She was seen traveling on the former president’s plane to a presidential debate and accompanying him to September 11 memorial services.
These appearances raised eyebrows, Daily Mail noted.
Adding fuel to the fire, late-night host Maher accused Loomer and Trump of faking a relationship to influence voters.
On his HBO series “Real Time,” Maher crudely speculated about the nature of their relationship, citing Loomer’s age and appearance as factors.
Loomer swiftly threatened legal action against Maher, denouncing his comments as defamatory.
Trump, for his part, has downplayed Loomer’s involvement in his campaign.
When questioned about her presence at a 9/11 memorial event, he described her as “a supporter” with “very strong opinions” and a “free spirit.”
However, as Daily Mail highlighted, conflicting reports have emerged regarding the level of control over Loomer’s involvement in campaign activities.
Campaign co-manager Susie Wiles asserted that Trump had “100 percent control” over debate preparations and plane manifests.
Yet, a campaign source distanced the official operation from Loomer, stating, “She’s not a campaign staffer. She’s not part of the campaign.”
