Nationally syndicated radio host Dan Bongino announced Tuesday a comprehensive transition of his widely followed radio show and podcast, marking a strategic handover to Daily Caller editorial director Vince Coglianese.
Bongino, a prominent conservative commentator with a substantial national following, will conclude his current 12-3 p.m. Westwood One radio program on March 14.
Coglianese, who has previously demonstrated familiarity with the show’s format by serving as a guest host, will officially assume leadership of the platform on March 17.
This news comes after it was revealed that Bongino is stepping away from his career as a political commentator to take on a new role as Deputy Director of the FBI under newly appointed Director Kash Patel, Resist the Mainstream previously reported.
The transition goes beyond a simple change in hosting, representing a complete rebranding of the existing media properties.
The current “The Dan Bongino Show” will be transformed into “VINCE” for the radio program and the “VINCE Podcast,” respectively, as announced in a press release from the Cumulus Podcast Network.
Bongino expressed unwavering confidence in his chosen successor, emphasizing Coglianese’s capabilities. “He is fantastic, I promise you I only bring the best people, you are gonna love him,” the outgoing host stated, highlighting the careful consideration behind the selection.
The incoming host appears fully aware of the significant responsibility he is undertaking.
In a statement that underscores the gravity of his new role, Coglianese proclaimed, “I’m deeply conscious of the history-making legacies of these broadcasts, which is why we will be delivering the ultimate 3-hour live radio show and 1-hour podcast for the millions of Americans who demand the truth.”
Bongino notably revealed that his intention to bring Coglianese on board predated the current transition, suggesting a long-standing professional relationship and mutual respect between the two media personalities.
The transition will not completely disconnect Coglianese from his current media commitments. According to a tweet by Bongino producer Jim Verdi, Coglianese will continue to maintain his presence on the WMAL network, though he will be shifting to a different time slot.
Coglianese’s vision for the newly branded show appears ambitious and forward-looking.
He promises to deliver what he describes as “the most entertaining, informative, and efficient way to equip yourself in the golden age of America,” according to the Daily Caller.
Bongino stunned his audience twice when unveiling the major personal announcement about his new role with the FBI late February. The first shocker was the news itself, and the second was when he revealed Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) may soon face renewed scrutiny.
Bongino, a longtime critic of Schiff, made it clear that one of his top priorities in his new position will be exposing what he sees as the injustices behind the now-debunked Trump-Russia collusion claims.
“I’m not letting this go. I need to find out what happened—because it can never happen again,” Bongino declared. “We had the FBI, in conjunction with the Department of Justice, officials in Congress, foreign governments, and intel people fabricate a story, invent a story that could have done serious and long-term harm to international relations with a nuclear-powered foe.”
