An Ohio Elementary school is allowing the Satanic Temple to open a “Satan Club” during school hours, Libs of TikTok has reported.
“They’re trying to corrupt and indoctrinate your children,” the X user noted online, accompanied with a flyer of the newfound club located at Edgewood Elementary School in Marysville, Ohio.
The flyer includes some shocking and disturbing language, including “Hellion academy of independent learning (HAIL) is coming…”
The Satanic Temple defines HAIL as “a self-directed education program that meets during school hours,” noting that “the activity” is not sponsored by the school district or board.
The flyer then lists what HAIL will “teach and provide,” including “self-directed learning” and “tons of fun” – whatever that means.
At the bottom of the flyer, the Satanic Temple asserts that its mission is to “encourage benevolence and empathy.”
It also aims to “reject tyrannical authority.”
Libs of TikTok has been a staunch reporter in the realm of highlighting goings ons in schools across the nation.
She recently revealed a “massive scandal” that has rocked a small Oregon community, where three top officials from the St. Helens School District have been removed from their positions following revelations about their handling of a teacher under investigation for alleged s*xual abuse of students.
The St. Helens High School Principal and District Superintendent have been placed on administrative leave, while the board chair has resigned, marking a dramatic shake-up in district leadership.
Libs of TikTok reported on her Substack that these administrative changes come in the wake of mounting public pressure after it was revealed that a teacher under active police investigation for alleged s*xual abuse was permitted to continue teaching without parental notification.
The teacher, Eric Stearns, faces multiple charges related to alleged s*xual abuse of students.
Parents were outraged to learn that despite an ongoing police investigation, Stearns remained in the classroom for months before his recent arrest.
The district’s decision not to inform parents during this period has sparked intense criticism from the community.
Libs of TikTok noted that during a heavily attended school board meeting, parents voiced their concerns about the administration’s handling of the situation.
One mother reported that when she presented a police report to the school principal, her concerns were dismissed.
Students also joined the chorus of voices calling for accountability, demanding the resignation of board members who had allowed the situation to persist.
The controversy has also brought attention to a previous case involving the district.
Earlier this year, St. Helens School District agreed to a $3.5 million settlement with a former student who alleged the district had covered up s*xual abuse by Kyle Wroblewski, a former teacher and girls’ track coach.
Stearns, who was most recently employed as a teacher in the district, has been charged with eight counts related to alleged s*xual abuse.
Prior to his arrest, he had served as an educator in the district while identifying himself as a parent involved in the school community, per Libs of TikTok.
During his tenure, he had spoken about being attuned to “student achievement and to those unique social emotional and cultural needs of our students” and discussed focusing on “rigor and assessment” in education, Libs of TikTok further noted.
Questions have since been raised about the district’s policies regarding staff members under criminal investigation and the procedures for notifying parents of potential safety concerns.
The removal of district leadership represents a significant shift in response to community pressure.
The district now faces the challenge of rebuilding trust with parents and implementing more robust safety measures to protect students.
