On Saturday, Fox News released a report about a newly formed nonprofit, which seeks to pay whistleblowers who observe suspicious activity during elections.
The Fair Election Fund was founded ahead of the 2024 election, and aims to work with election organizers and concerned citizens who get behind-the-scenes access to elections, saying they will vet and pay whistleblowers who see potential corruption or wrongdoing.
“The bulk of the group’s budget will be devoted to paying whistleblowers like election workers, organizers, and concerned citizens who have witnessed this corruption firsthand for sharing their stories,” FEF told Fox News. “All claims will be vetted by Fair Election Fund’s team of experienced election law attorneys. The group will highlight these cases through aggressive paid and earned media campaigns, the first of which will begin immediately.”
“Free and fair elections are the bedrock of our American experiment,” the organization said in a Saturday ad. “It’s part of our core, but we can only have confidence in the results if there is trust in the process. Across the country there are real cases and abuses in the system that have eroded our trust.”
The ad then notes attempts from the Biden administration to register non-eligible, and even illegal immigrants, as voters, as well as cities that have pushed to allow non-citizens to vote.
The ad also notes other instances of concerning behavior from election officials, such as lack of voter ID, concerns about drop boxes, mail-in ballots, and other potential vulnerabilities in the election system.
“The reason why our elections still lack the integrity Americans deserve is because those on the front lines fear they will lose their livelihoods for speaking out against those in power – Not anymore,” said an unnamed official in the press release to Fox News. “This initiative will ensure those who come forward to expose fraud and abuse in our elections system will be compensated and protected. This $5 million fund will shine a light on the corruption, stop it, and restore trust with the American public.”
On their website, the organization writes that voter fraud is “happening in plain sight, but those in power look the other way. They lie and dismiss and then demonize common sense steps to ensure our elections are free and fair. In too many states across the country, their lies have left us with weak state election laws that don’t maximize integrity.”
“Faith in our democratic process will never be fully restored unless these issues are properly brought to light and addressed,” the site reads. “That’s where the Fair Election Fund comes in. We’re making a major investment to expose cheating in our elections… and we want to hear from you.”
The organization calls on anyone who has “knowledge of abuses in the system,” to come forward to help “preserve our democracy.”
Many have expressed concern at the prospect of voter fraud in the United States, and some have gone out of their way to document it, such as the Heritage Foundation, which has uncovered 1,500 cases of voter fraud and almost 1,300 criminal convictions in connection to that fraud.
“Safe-and-secure elections matter, because as can be seen by some of the documented cases in Heritage’s Voter Fraud Database, even a single ineligible or illegally cast ballot can make the difference in an election–especially those at the local level,” wrote Heritage Foundation Senior Legal Fellow Zack Smith on X in April.
