Conservative political hopeful Valentina Gomez created a significant stir at this year’s Texas Muslim Capitol Day when she took over the podium unexpectedly, sparking immediate controversy and drawing national attention to her Congressional campaign.
The incident, which occurred during the annual gathering of Texas Muslims at the State Capitol in Austin, was captured on video and shared widely on the social media platform X.
Gomez later posted the footage herself with a pointed caption declaring, “Islam has no place in Texas.”
“Help me to Congress so we can end the Islamization of America. I only fear God.”
During her unscheduled appearance, Gomez dramatically removed her hijab before addressing the crowd of Muslim attendees.
Speaking into the microphone with unwavering conviction, she made several pointed statements about Islam before event organizers attempted to cut her off.
“Islam is the religion of rape, incest, and pedophilia where they bow down to a stupid rock and a false prophet,” Gomez said during her impromptu speech.
She continued her address despite growing protests and attempts to silence her, stating firmly, “I will never let Sharia Law take over Texas.”
As attendees booed loudly in protest of her unexpected appearance, Gomez added, “This is a Christian nation. There’s 57 Muslim nations,” before security personnel finally escorted her away from the podium and out of the immediate area.
The confrontation didn’t end with her removal from the stage.
As she departed the venue, one man reportedly told her, “Go back in your cage, dog.”
Gomez, undeterred by the hostility, immediately responded to the man’s comment with, “Go back to your Muslim nation.”
The event traditionally “brings together hundreds of Texas Muslims at the State Capitol in Austin” for a day of civic engagement and political participation, according to official information published on the Texas Muslim Capitol Day website.
The organization describes the annual gathering as featuring “meetings with elected officials, a rally in front of the Capitol, and a congregational prayer,” activities designed to integrate the Muslim community into Texas political processes.
The website further explains that the event is “organized in collaboration with Texas Muslim organizations, Islamic centers, and community groups” with the stated objective of empowering “Muslims to become more civically engaged and amplify their voices in the legislative process.”
Gomez is currently campaigning for a Congressional seat, with her platform apparently including strong concerns about Islamic influence in American society and politics.

Gomez uses a handgun in the video to shoot a hooded dummy, restrained to a chair, in the back of the head.
“It’s that simple, public executions for any illegal that rapes or kills an American. They don’t deserve deportation, they deserve to be ended,” she said.
The video is a response to the tragic incident on Dec. 22, when a woman was burned alive while sleeping on a New York City train. The suspect, 33-year-old Sebastian Zapeta, is an illegal immigrant from Guatemala and is accused of committing the horrific crime.
